The AQUAFILTER FCPS20 is a melt-blown polypropylene sediment cartridge designed for the mechanical filtration of cold water. Manufactured from 100% virgin polypropylene, its depth-filter structure effectively captures sand, silt, rust and suspended solids of 20 micron and larger, making it suitable for potable-water filtration and general water-treatment applications. The cartridge is manufactured without resin binders, lubricants, antistatic agents or other chemical additives.
With dimensions of 9 7/8" × 2 1/2", the FCPS20 fits compatible standard 10-inch filter housings and is commonly used as a pre-filtration stage. By capturing sediment before subsequent filtration stages, it helps protect carbon cartridges, RO membranes and other water-treatment components from premature fouling. AQUAFILTER documentation indicates a typical cartridge lifetime of approximately 3–6 months, depending on incoming water quality and contamination level.
