Is it safe to have CO₂ cylinders in my home, and how should they be stored?
Philips CO₂ cylinders are completely safe for home use. They are manufactured according to strict safety standards and are safe at almost any altitude. Each cylinder is equipped with a safety valve that will harmlessly release gas if internal pressure ever exceeds safety limits.
Always store your CO₂ cylinder in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Do not expose the cylinder to heat sources (such as prolonged storage in a car trunk), or place it near open flames or appliances like ovens, stoves, or fireplaces.
Do CO₂ cylinders expire?
While the gas itself does not expire, the cylinders must be inspected and certified for safety up to a specific date, which is printed on the bottom of the cylinder. For optimal performance, we recommend storing your cylinder at room temperature.
How do I refill my CO₂ cylinder?
You can bring your used cylinder to our facilities, where it will be sent to an authorized refill center. The process typically takes around 7 working days.
- Home delivery from Monday to Friday, with a maximum processing time of five (5) calendar working days.
- BoxNow service available for selected items with a maximum processing time of five (5) calendar working days. In case of increased order volume, there is a possibility of delay.
- Receiving from ACS Courier stores with a maximum processing time of seven (7) calendar working days. In case of increased order volume, there is a possibility of delay.
- Receiving from the Company's store in Limassol with a maximum waiting time of twenty-four (24) working hours. The Company will contact you when your order is ready for receipt. You can receive your order from the reception area of the Company's store. To receive your order, you must provide your order number, which you will find in the email that will be sent to you by the Company upon the completion of your order. Receipts from the Company's store are made from Monday to Friday from 08:00 - 20:00, Saturday from 08:00 - 19:00 and Sunday from 10:00 - 19:00.
