Applications

Suitable for surfaces such as:

• Exposed concrete
• Plasterboard
• Cement boards
• Polystyrene insulation boards
• Previously painted surfaces
• Smooth cement-based surfaces
• Low-absorbency substrates

Suitable as a primer before:

• Plastering exposed concrete
• Plastering thermal-insulation boards
• Skim coating painted surfaces
• Applying microcement
• Applying skim-coat fillers
• Installing external thermal-insulation systems

Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be:

• Clean
• Dry
• Stable
• Free from dust
• Free from oil and grease
• Free from loose or poorly bonded material

Stir the product thoroughly before use until a uniform mixture is obtained and the quartz sand is evenly distributed.

Application

SUPERBOND PRIMER is supplied ready to use. Where required, it may be diluted with up to 5% water.

Apply one coat using:

• A roller
• A brush

The product should be applied in a way that maintains its rough and textured surface.

Plaster, microcement or the next finishing material may be applied after approximately 8–10 hours.

Drying times may vary depending on the ambient temperature, relative humidity and application thickness.

Application Conditions

For exterior use, do not apply when rain or frost is expected within the following 48 hours.

Tool Cleaning

Clean tools immediately after use with water and, where necessary, soap or detergent.
