VITEX Hybrid PU Water based Primer 5L
VITEX HYROOF PRIMER is a hybrid water-based polyurethane primer specially designed for preparing surfaces that will be waterproofed with HYROOF HYBRID PU.
It penetrates, waterproofs and stabilises both new surfaces and older substrates with existing waterproofing layers. It provides strong adhesion to concrete, bituminous membranes, cement boards, old insulation systems, acrylic coatings and polyurethane paints.
Its lightly tinted, semi-transparent formulation makes it easier to identify the areas that have already been primed, helping ensure uniform application across the entire surface.
It is supplied ready to use, is easy to apply and contains very low levels of Volatile Organic Compounds, making it more user- and environmentally friendly.

Applications

It is designed for use as a primer before applying HYROOF HYBRID PU roof waterproofing coating.
Surface Preparation
Surfaces must be:
- Clean
- Dry
- Stable
- Smooth
- Free from dust
- Free from loose or poorly bonded material
Any cracks should be repaired before application using a suitable VITEX elastomeric filler.
New cement-based surfaces must be allowed to dry completely for at least 30 days before applying the primer.
Application
Stir the product thoroughly before use.
Apply one uniform coat over the entire surface using:
- A roller
- A brush
- A masonry brush
- An airless spray gun
The product is supplied ready to use and does not require dilution.
HYROOF HYBRID PU may be applied after approximately 2–3 hours.
Application should take place at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C and at a relative humidity below 70%.
Do not apply when rain or frost is expected within the following 48 hours.

Clean tools immediately after use with water and, where necessary, soap or detergent.
