Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be smooth, clean, dry, properly sanded and free from grease, dust or loose material.

Wooden Surfaces

After suitable preparation, apply DIAXYL EXTRA Water-Based wood preservative where required. Fill imperfections with acrylic putty, sand to a smooth surface and prime with VELATURA ECO.

Plaster, Concrete, Cement and Plasterboard

New surfaces should first be primed with ACRYLAN UNCO ECO.

Stained Surfaces

Surfaces stained by smoke, graffiti, coffee or other substances should first be primed with BLANCO ECO.

Metal Surfaces

Apply a suitable anticorrosive primer, such as ANTI-RUST PRIMER, MINIO PRIMER or METAL PRIMER. Glossy metal surfaces, including aluminium and galvanised steel, should first be coated with VELATURA ECO.

Application

• Stir thoroughly before use.
• Apply the first coat by brush, roller or airless spray.
• Thin with 5–10% water for brush or roller application.
• Thin with 10–15% water for airless spray application.
• Apply the second coat after 6–8 hours.
• The product must be tinted exclusively through the VITEX Coloring System using the recommended base.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Clean tools immediately after use with water and, where necessary, soapy water or detergent.

Allow newly painted surfaces to cure for at least three weeks before cleaning or washing. Clean gently using water and a soft sponge. For difficult stains, use a mild colourless detergent or soapy water.
