VITEX PRIMER 100% Waterproofing Acrylic Primer Water-Based 3L
VITEX Primer is a translucent, water-based primer formulated with 100% acrylic resins. It is designed for preparing interior surfaces before the application of water-based paints.
It penetrates and stabilises absorbent substrates while improving the adhesion, coverage, appearance and durability of the final paint coating. It can be used as a base for emulsion paints, acrylic paints, cement paints, textured coatings and other Vitex water-based finishing products.
Its highly dilutable formulation allows for easy application and excellent coverage. It is suitable for plaster, fair-faced concrete, brickwork, plasterboard, alkaline substrates and previously painted surfaces following the appropriate preparation.
The ammonia-free formulation offers low odour during application and a more user-friendly painting experience.

Surface Preparation
Surfaces must be clean, dry and smooth, free from dust, loose materials or residues that may affect adhesion.
Acrylic Putty or Visto may be used to fill holes and repair cracks. After filling, sand the surface thoroughly and ensure that it is completely dry before priming.
Application Instructions
- Dilute 1 part primer with 3–4 parts clean water.
- Stir thoroughly before use.
- Apply one coat using a roller, brush or airless spray gun.
- Apply the final water-based paint after 4–6 hours.

Application Tips
- Apply at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C.
- Relative humidity during application should be below 80%.
- Clean tools immediately after use with water and, when necessary, soap or detergent.
- Calculate the required quantity carefully to minimise product waste.
- Seal the container tightly after use and store any remaining product for future application.
- Do not dispose of cleaning water into the ground or groundwater system.
