VITEX METAL PRIMER Primer for Metal Surfaces 2.5L
Surface Preparation Metal Primer is a high-quality primer based on hard, quick-drying alkyd resins. It creates an ideal substrate for enamel paints, particularly when applied to metal and wooden surfaces.
It provides excellent adhesion, whiteness and hiding power while helping create a smooth and even finish. The formula offers good brushability, excellent levelling properties and easy sanding after drying.
It can also be used for wall preparation, helping insulate and cover patches, spots, stains and other surface imperfections before the application of the topcoat.
The primer can be applied by brush, roller or spray gun and is available in white and grey.

Surface Preparation
Surfaces must be smooth, clean and dry, and free from dust, grease, rust and loose material.
Clean the surface using a suitable cleaning solvent, such as Brush Solvent T300, and sand where required. Carefully remove all sanding dust before application.
Directions for Use
- Stir the product thoroughly before use.
- For brush or roller application, dilute by up to 5% with Brush Solvent T300.
- For spray-gun application, dilute by up to 5% with Spray Gun Solvent T350.
- Apply one or two coats using a brush, roller or spray gun.
- Allow the surface to dry for 20–24 hours.
- Sand the surface using suitable sandpaper to produce a smooth finish.
- Remove all loose dust and apply a suitable enamel paint for wood or metal.
Application Conditions
- Application temperature: 5°C to 35°C
- Relative humidity: Below 80%
- For exterior applications, do not apply when rain or frost is expected within the following 48 hours.
- Do not apply to wet, dusty or greasy surfaces.
Cleaning of Tools
- Clean brushes and rollers with Brush Solvent T300, followed by soapy water or detergent.
- Clean spray guns using Spray Gun Solvent T350.
Storage
Keep the container tightly closed and store it in a cool, dry area at temperatures between 5°C and 38°C.

- Unused product must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
- The user should confirm the product’s suitability for the intended application before use.
