VITEX Heavy Metal Silicon Varnish is a clear, solvent-based silicone anti-corrosive varnish designed to protect interior and exterior metal surfaces. Its specialised formulation offers enhanced protection against ultraviolet radiation, adverse weather conditions and everyday wear.
It creates an exceptionally hard and durable protective coating that maintains its gloss and appearance over time. It can be applied as a clear finishing coat over metal enamel paints, providing additional protection, durability and easier maintenance.
It is also ideal for protecting and preserving decorative rusty-effect finishes without altering their distinctive appearance. Available in matt, satin and gloss finishes, it is suitable for both decorative and demanding metal applications.
The varnish applies smoothly, spreads evenly and can be used with a roller, brush or spray gun.

Surface Preparation
New metal surfaces and previously painted metal surfaces must be clean, dry and smooth, free from dust, oil, grease and loose materials.
Clean the surface with T300 Brush Solvent and sand it using suitable abrasive paper. Thoroughly remove all sanding dust before application.
On recently painted surfaces, Heavy Metal Silicon Varnish may be applied directly as a final clear protective coat.
Application Instructions
- Dilute the product by up to 5% with T300 Brush Solvent for roller or brush application.
- For spray application, dilute by up to 5% with T350 Spray Solvent.
- Stir thoroughly before use.
- Apply the first coat using a roller, brush or spray gun.
- Apply the second coat after 24 hours.
Application Conditions
- Application temperature: Between 5°C and 35°C
- Maximum relative humidity: 80%
- For exterior use, do not apply when rain or frost is expected within the following 48 hours.
- Drying times may be affected by temperature, humidity, ventilation and applied film thickness.
Cleaning of Tools
- Clean rollers and brushes with T300 Brush Solvent and then wash with soap or detergent.
- Clean spray equipment with T350 Spray Solvent.
Additional Information
- Coated surfaces may be washed at least 30 days after application.
- Calculate the required quantity before use to minimise product waste.
- Seal the container tightly after application and store any remaining product for future use.
- Do not dispose of product residues or cleaning liquids into the ground or groundwater system.
- Home delivery from Monday to Friday, with a maximum processing time of five (5) calendar working days.
