The AQUAFILTER FCPRA-10N is a transparent anti-scale cartridge filled with polyphosphate media, designed to protect plumbing systems and water-using equipment against scale deposits. The polyphosphate inhibits scaling processes involving minerals such as calcium and magnesium, helping prevent deposits from forming on pipes, boilers and heating elements.
Unlike an ion-exchange softening cartridge, the FCPRA-10N is primarily an anti-scale treatment cartridge: it inhibits mineral deposits rather than conventionally removing hardness minerals from the water. Its transparent housing allows the condition and remaining quantity of the polyphosphate media to be visually monitored. The cartridge is intended primarily for Point-of-Entry (POE) applications.
