EINHELL Digital wire detector - TE-MD-80
The Einhell TE-MD 80 Digital Detector is a practical wall detector, ideal for DIY users and professional tradespeople who want to work more safely before drilling or installing fixtures on walls.
It precisely detects metal, wood and live electrical wires, helping the user check whether the selected drilling point is safe. Ferrous metals such as steel can be detected up to 80mm, live electrical cables up to 60mm, non-ferrous metals such as copper up to 38mm, and wood up to 24mm.
The automatic calibration function ensures accuracy without manual adjustment, while the large LCD display, acoustic warning and coloured light ring make the results easy to understand. A green light indicates that no obstacle has been detected. Orange means the detector is approaching an object, while red indicates that the centring opening is positioned directly above the detected object.
The marking opening allows easy marking of the checked spot on the wall, while the protective slider on the back helps prevent damage to the wall surface. Its compact design, Softgrip surfaces and included wrist strap allow comfortable one-handed operation. The auto-off function helps conserve battery power when the device is not in use.
Note: Requires 1x 9V / 6F22 battery, which is not included.

The digital detector TE-MD 80 detects ferrous metals such as steel up to a depth of 80 mm, live cables up to 60 mm, non-ferrous metals such as copper up to 38 mm, and wood up to 24 mm depth. The detector switches off automatically after one minute of inactivity to conserve the battery. The device requires one 9 V battery for operation (not included).

Light ring
The light ring around the centring opening lights up green, orange or red, depending on where the desired object is located, for example a live wire.
