The EIGER EG-SC-40 is a self-cleaning central water filter designed for installation on the main incoming water supply. It provides mechanical pre-filtration at 40 micron, helping capture sediment and suspended impurities before the water reaches the downstream plumbing system and connected equipment.
The filter helps reduce particles such as sand, rust, silt and other suspended solids, making it suitable as a first-stage protective filter for domestic water installations. By intercepting these contaminants at the water inlet, it can help protect pipes, faucets, water heaters and other downstream equipment from particulate accumulation.
Its self-cleaning / flushing design allows accumulated contaminants to be discharged through the lower drain valve, simplifying routine maintenance without requiring frequent removal of the filtration element. The integrated pressure gauge allows convenient monitoring of the system pressure.
With an R2 3/4" pipe thread, the EG-SC-40 is suitable for compatible main water supply installations where compact sediment pre-filtration and easy maintenance are required.
